(1) Moist Ag₂O: (i) It can be used for the conversion of alkyl halide into alcohol. (ii) It can be used for the oxidation of aldehyde into carboxylic acid.

(2) Dry Ag₂O: It is used for the conversion of alkyl halide into ether.
